György János Litkey (1907–1975) was a Hungarian painter and graphic artist. Born in Sajókeresztúr, he studied at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest from 1926 to 1931 under Gyula Rudnay. Early in his career, Litkey worked with the Borsod-Miskolc Museum collecting ethnographic material, later supporting himself through art in Budapest. He went on to teach art in several Hungarian towns, including Kapuvár, Ócsa, and Budapest, where he also served as director of the Toldy Ferenc High School. From the 1950s onward, he played a leading role in Hungarian art education, organizing summer art camps and helping found the Fine Arts Studio of the Teachers’ Union in Budapest, eventually becoming its artistic director. He spent later years working abroad, living in Belgium and the United States, and held 17 solo exhibitions across Hungary, Belgium, and America.
